Born in Arizona and raised locally in Mesa, Dr. Edward Christensen is happy to be practicing in his hometown.
Dr. Christensen received his doctorate of dental surgery degree from the University of Colorado School of Dentistry where he graduated magna cum laude. Because of the outstanding surgical training available there, Dr. Christensen chose to complete his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Oklahoma.
In addition to treating patients in his private practice, Dr. Christensen also takes level one trauma calls at Banner University Medical Center where he also participates in training of residents in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency program. Dr. Christensen also serves as the Section Chair of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Cardon Children’s Hospital and Credentialing Committee at Banner Desert Medical Center.
Dr. Christensen’s surgical interests include facial trauma, corrective jaw surgery, cleft lip and palate, oral pathology, facial reconstruction, wisdom teeth removal and dental implant placement.
Dr. Christensen and his wife, Jillian, have five beautiful children and live in Mesa.
